Women Rehabilitation and Development Association (WORDA) successfully conducted eight day a capacity-building training program for members of community-based child protection structures in four villages: Qool-caday, Salaxley, Bali-mataan, and Gunburaha. The two-day intensive training in each village equipped participants with the essential knowledge and skills to effectively prevent, document, report, and refer cases of child abuse and neglect. The training covered a comprehensive range of topics, including:

  • Basic concepts of child protection and child rights including types of abuse and neglect, relevant laws and policies, and indicators of child endangerment

Case management and referral mechanisms.
